Who we are
Geared toward flourishing and thriving. For all people.
Montahalem is an interdisciplinary non-profit dedicated to flourishing and thriving for all people through the arts, scientific research, and spiritually based hospitality. Our community is intergenerational, multi-lingual, queer, straight, and global.
Montahalem leads participatory scientific research regarding spirituality. We seek to implement and embody spiritual best practices through the arts and provide transitional community housing.
Montahalem is a pioneer in the field of decolonized organizational spirituality. We support two spiritual community houses in Portland, Oregon, and a sister community in Kikyusa, Uganda. The community houses are regularly the site of music, painting, and other peace-making activities.
